There have always been a wide variety of fine art exhibitions available to Michigan artists, both in-state and nationally, but until now there has been no easy way to learn about many of them. Our goal with this web site is to provide a comprehensive listing of the many opportunities open to Michigan artists to exhibit their artwork in galleries, in print, and online.
The site is easy to use and access is free. Calls to enter and requests for exhibition proposals are received from many different sources and posted weekly. Galleries, local art centers and artist groups are encouraged to send information about exhibition opportunities to listing@CalltoEnter.info by email. There is no charge for a listing.
Eric Law, a professional photographer and consultant who works with hundreds of established and emerging artists from the Detroit area and across Michigan, also will share his insights about preparing calls to enter and submitting to juried exhibitions.
The rapidly expanded use of digital images for jurying exhibitions has been a major challenge for artists, art groups and galleries alike, and the visual arts community in Michigan desperately needs a better source of information and best practices. We want to fill that need with the resources available at this site.
